ARE THE ONLINE COURSES FREE?
Yes, there is no charge to Tennessee law enforcement to take the online courses.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A COURSE?
Visit our course catalog, find the class you would like to take, and click register. Then you will be directed to the registration form. You will need to create an account with TBI Learn using your agency email address. If you already have an account, click the “click here” above the registration form and log in before registering.
WHAT IS MY USERNAME?
Your username is the email address that you used to create your account at registration. Please make sure to register with a government or law enforcement email address rather than a personal one.
WHAT IF MY EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED?
If your email address changes and you are still eligible to receive training from us, please do not create a second account. We would like to keep your training records together. Please email us at email@example.com and provide us with your new email address and we will update it for you.
Please email us at TBI.Learn@tn.gov and we will set a temporary password for you.
I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. HOW DO I RESET IT?
WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO BE APPROVED?
This is to allow time, if necessary, to verify that you are indeed a law enforcement officer. You should be approved within 48 hours of registration.
WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED AN APPROVAL EMAIL?
Approval will come from TBI Learn firstname.lastname@example.org. Check your spam folder to ensure the approval email did not get quarantined. If there is no email there, please contact us at TBI.Learn@tn.gov and we will verify the email address used to create your account and assist you with any other issues.
WILL I RECEIVE POST CREDIT FOR THIS COURSE?
You will see a POST icon on the course if you can receive POST credit. The number inside the icon indicates how many hours it has been approved for by POST. At the end of the course, a certificate will be generated. You are responsible for submitting the paperwork to POST. If you do not know the POST number for the course, you can find it here.
The information for the certificate is pulled from the information you enter when you register as a user. If your name has been misspelled or is in all lower or upper case letters, that is how your name will appear on the certificate.
