ARE THE ONLINE COURSES FREE?
Yes. The courses are free of charge and open to all law enforcement across the state of Tennessee.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A COURSE?
Visit our course catalog, find the class you would like to take, and click register. Create an account with TBI Learn using your agency email address. If you already have an account, click the “click here” above the registration form and log in to your account before registering.
WHAT IS MY USERNAME?
Your username is the email address that you used to create your account at registration. Please make sure to register with a government or law enforcement email address rather than a personal one. If you are a TBI employee, your username is you tn.gov email address.
WHAT IF MY EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED?
If your email address changes and you are still eligible to receive training from us, please do not create a second account. We would like to keep your training records together. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide us with your new email address and we will update it for you.
Click “Forgot password?” on the login page and check your email for the link to reset your password. If you do not receive an email, please contact us at email@example.com and we will set a temporary password for you.
I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. HOW DO I RESET IT?
WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO BE APPROVED?
This is to allow time, if necessary, to verify that you are indeed a law enforcement officer since our courses are law enforcement sensitive. Your registration should be approved within 2 business days.
WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED AN APPROVAL EMAIL?
Check your spam folder to ensure the approval email did not get quarantined. If there is no email there, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will verify the email address used to create your account and assist you with any other issues.
WILL I RECEIVE POST CREDIT FOR THIS COURSE?
You will see a POST icon on the course if you can receive POST credit. The number inside the icon indicates how many hours it has been approved for by POST. You are responsible for submitting the paperwork to POST. If you do not know the POST number for the course, you can find it here.
MY SCREEN IS FROZEN OR BLANK. WHAT DO I DO?
Try logging out or switching Internet browsers to see if the course will continue. If it does not, please take a screen shot of your issue and email it to email@example.com.
The information for the certificate is pulled from the information you enter when you register as a user. If your name has been misspelled or is in all lower or upper case letters, that is how your name will appear on the certificate. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will fix it for you.
